Workshop One-FOUNDATIONAL TRAINING

3-hour training sessions

A prerequisite to all other Roundstone learning modules, the Foundational Training workshop introduces participants to skills and tools that support a new way of working.

Learning Objectives

This module is specifically designed to help you create relationships that work. Getting along with others and getting the best from others increases effectiveness and opportunity. Having a good attitude, being respectful, and keeping your word are all vital aspects of effectiveness. Equally important is the understanding of how to respectfully communicate feedback and dissatisfaction. Developing these skills enhances efficiency, productivity, and creative problem solving.

Program participants will learn to:

  •    Build relationships quickly and effectively.
  •    Recognize and eliminate frustrating conversations with bosses and team members.
  •    Become a more “open” listener.
  •    Clearly identify new opportunities for improvement.
  •    Create a vision of how they would like things to be and make commitments consistent with that vision.
  •    Identify which actions to start and which to stop in order to achieve a desired vision.

Workshop Two: HABITUAL TRIGGERS (part one and two)

Two, 3-hour training sessions

Inevitably, people find themselves in situations where they are triggered by outside forces. The automatic ways of reacting for some include raising the voice, becoming forceful, or angry for others they may become passive, withdrawing, and shutting down. Ultimately, these triggers take over–producing behavior patterns that are problematic, ineffective, and often damaging.

Part One: Learning Objectives

Part One focuses on learning your key triggers in order to:

  •  Discover how these automatic behaviors limit your effectiveness.
  •  Observe your automatic responses when you are upset and take responsibility for them.
  •  Identify the reactions as triggers and choose new practices that are more effective.

Part Two: Learning Objectives

Part Two focuses on learning about our key triggers in order to:

  • Gain a new perspective about what does and does not work for you when interacting with other people.
  • Understand what it means to be “centered.”
  • Become adept at turning your focus toward effective action.
  •  Know the appropriate steps to take when circumstances knock you off balance.

Workshop Three: RESTORING AND BUILDING TRUST

3-hour session

Demonstrating that you can be trusted is key to managing a small team or large corporation. Trust is a critical component to the success of any collaborative venture, project, or partnership. In business, sometimes we are thrown together with people that we do not necessarily like, or have a lot in common with. Our capacity to successfully navigate these relationships requires a proficiency in identifying levels of trust and appropriate actions to take.

Learning Objectives

The third Roundstone module focuses on restoring and developing relationships based on trust. You will:

  • Learn how to apologize and forgive others for any perceived hurts or “wrong-doings” so you can work together.
  • Understand that you can operate effectively and produce results, even when you don’t like your working partner.
  • Learn to let go of interpretations, judgments, and assumptions that keep resentments alive.
  • Effectively recognize and clear up difficult conversations that are prohibiting your ability to trust.
